MIDO RAINFLOWER: FEMININE ELEGANCE WITH 80 HOURS OF POWER RESERVE

Refined and understated, the new MIDO Rainflower is designed exclusively for women, offering a delicate interpretation of Swiss watchmaking. Its soft, rounded forms define a 34 mm case that balances presence and elegance, while the details of the dial add a sophisticated character without compromising its timeless appeal. At its heart, the automatic Caliber 80 provides up to 80 hours of power reserve, combining everyday functionality with the precision and savoir-faire of Swiss watchmaking.

A case defined by soft lines

The Rainflower features a round case crafted from 316L stainless steel with PVD coating, an elegant finish that also contributes to durability. Measuring 34 mm in both length and width, with a thickness of 9.8 mm, its proportions are designed to sit comfortably on the wrist.

The case is topped with a sapphire crystal featuring double-sided antireflective treatment, enhancing legibility while protecting the dial from scratches. A transparent case back provides a view of the automatic movement. Water resistance is rated at 3 bar, equivalent to 30 meters, making it suitable for everyday wear.

A dial inspired by the lotus flower

The delicate character of the Rainflower is particularly evident in its white mother-of-pearl dial, whose natural surface creates subtle reflections as it catches the light. The design incorporates delicate references to the lotus flower, a distinctive element of the collection that reinforces its feminine identity.

The hour markers are set with 11 gemstones, with a total weight of 0.0418 carats and VS-SI clarity. Their 8/8 Single Cut adds subtle flashes of light to the composition, creating a balanced contrast with the iridescent mother-of-pearl surface.

The Caliber 80 and its 80-hour power reserve

At the heart of the Rainflower is the Caliber 80, a new-generation automatic movement developed to provide an extended power reserve. Its ability to deliver up to 80 hours of autonomy means the watch can be set aside for an entire weekend and still be ready to wear without requiring a time adjustment.

This extended autonomy is one of the model's key functional features, offering a practical advantage for everyday use. The combination of an automatic movement, long power reserve and reliability-oriented construction positions the Rainflower as a timepiece that balances elegance with functionality.

PVD as a design element

The PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) coating used on selected components not only helps improve resistance to corrosion, but also allows MIDO to introduce different colors and finishes to its watches. On this Rainflower, the treatment forms part of the overall aesthetic and complements its decorative elements.

MIDO uses this technique across different finishes, including black, pink gold and yellow gold, expanding the stylistic possibilities within its collections.

A feminine finish down to the strap

The design is completed by a purple leather strap featuring an alligator-style grained surface. The reverse side is made from synthetic material, while the butterfly clasp helps maintain a clean and elegant appearance on the wrist.

With its compact proportions, mother-of-pearl dial, gemstone details and the autonomy provided by its Caliber 80, the MIDO Rainflower offers a balanced combination of sophistication and practicality. The result is a watch designed to accompany everyday life with a delicate aesthetic, supported by a capable mechanical foundation.
